Panko-crumbed Apple Pastry


Ingredients:
  • 2 Medium Fuji apples, peeled and diced in 1/2 inch cubes
  • 6 sheets frozen phyllo dough
  • 1 cup Dynasty Panko Japanese Style Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil cooking spray


Directions:
Preheat oven to 350??F, lay phyllo sheets flat on a cookie pan, fold the edges and corners to fit the pan.In a medium mixing bowl, mix together vanilla extract, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and apples. Toss until well coated then spread on top of the phyllo sheets.Bake for 30 minutes then remove from ovenEvenly spread Panko on top of the baked apple mixture. Bake for another 5 minutes uncovered or until panko turns brown.
