To Better Enjoy Haiga Rice

Haiga rice is produced by eliminating the layer of the bran from brown rice, while keeping its rice germ. It is easier to digest than brown rice, and as flavorful as white rice.

1.What is Haiga Rice?

Haiga Rice (Haiga is the Japanese word for "germ") uses a special milling process that preserves the nutritious rice germ and the flavor of white rice.

2.How nutritious is it?

Rice germ contains nutrients that are beneficial to the human body, such as dietary fiber, Vitamin B1, B2 and B6.

3.How do you cook it?

Do not wash rice. Combine 1 cup rice and 1-1/2 cups water in medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; let stand covered 10 minutes before serving. Makes 2-3/4 cups cooked rice or 4 (2/3 cup) servings.

This rice package was tightly sealed after being flushed with nitrogen to keep freshness. Once opened, avoid direct sunlight, keep in a cool area, and use within a reasonable time.
